In order to open a line of consumer credit, you must be old enough to enter into a legal agreement with the card issuer. In other words, minors cannot be a primary account holder on any credit card. An official statement by the National Economic Bureau of Economic Research determined that our current recession actually ended back in June 2009. Someone tell that to the six banks that closed this past weekend, bringing the year’s tally of bank closings to 125.

It’s gotten so bad in 2010 that some in the banking industry call the end of the work week, “Friday Night Lights Out,” reports the Herald Tribune.
