Pay Debts in the Current Economic Climate
Written by Rebecca Diaz on April 6, 2010 – 1:36 pm
In the third quarter of the year 2008, it was noted in figures that the occurrence of personal or individual insolvencies had increased by 8.8 percent in comparison to the previous quarter. Additionally, the numbers in these figures for 2008 proved to be 4.6 higher than the third quarter from the previous year. These numbers are showing in relative clarity that the economies within both England and Wales are continuing to take a downward spiral along with a great deal of the rest of the world.
Bankruptcies have also risen in a similar manner with an apparent increase of more than 12 percent in comparison to the second quarter of 2008.

The Dos and Donts of Credit Scores Pt 1
Written by Rebecca Diaz on April 5, 2010 – 10:17 am
A credit score is a really important indicator on how likely you will be to default on a credit card or a loan. Your credit score is determined by a number of different factors, including your payment history, the amounts of money that you owe, the length of credit history, new credit, and what types of credit you are using. Do you pay your bills on time? Do you have any recent late payments? How many times have you been late? Are your cards maxed out, or have you accrued a large amount of debt? How long have you been making use of credit, and have you managed to establish a good credit history?

Review of the Millionaire Mind
Written by Rebecca Diaz on April 2, 2010 – 8:27 amThomas J. Stanley’s follow-up to his well-received book The Millionaire Next Door, follows a pretty interesting premise. It basically picks the brains of millionaires to find out how they got their wealth and how they keep it. It certainly offers an interesting read and I do recommend it, but not as a book that is going to teach you how to go out and make money today. It serves its purpose as a guide to help you understand how the rich think, but if you’re looking for step-by-step advice on how to make more money right now, it falls a bit flat.
This is basically a series of interviews that cover how some people managed to get rich.
