FAA, air traffic controllers reach agreement on new fatigue rules
Written by Tyler Kelly on July 7, 2011 – 7:53 amThe Federal Aviation Administration and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association announced details Friday of a new agreement on fatigue recommendations in the aftermath of several incidents involving controllers falling asleep on the job.
Among other things, air traffic controllers will now be allowed to listen to the radio and read appropriate printed material while on duty during the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., as traffic permits.

Why the travel industry needs to wake up to mobile

There are many articles and presentations circling around at present detailing a multitude of mind-blowing statistics highlighting the growth of mobile and the importance of this key trend for the travel industry, but why is the travel industry not listening?
While it might seem easy to turn a blind eye and leave mobile on the back burner, the conclusions from EyeforTravel’s recent summit in London and soon-to-be released Social Media & Mobile report highlight that one thing is for sure – mobile is not going away and you need to act fast now!
